A small, no-pressure music group where you can play along to rock favourites on glockenspiels and other instruments — even if you’ve never played before!

Open to adults of all abilities, including supported adults. Participate in relaxed music making, focused on lighthearted rock-based fun… on glockenspiels!
Sessions are led by experienced musicians and creative health facilitators who keep things clear, supportive, and musical.

What happens?
No experience needed.
We provide enough glockenspiels for everyone, but you’re welcome to bring along different acoustic instrument you own.
The music we play will include anything that can be (even loosely) categorised as rock — with plenty of space for song requests, shared listening, and group creativity!

Suggested: £5.00/£6.50/£8.00
Pay-What-You-Choose
Fully funded places are also available.
Nobody will be excluded from this group based on their ability to pay.
Thanks to generous funding support from Arts Council England and Portishead Town Council we are able to run a Pay-What-You-Choose offer for this group, as well as offer fully funded spaces for those who would otherwise find cost to be a barrier to participation.
Whatever you are able to contribute helps to ensure Now Hear This Music C.I.C. can continue to run in a sustainable way. We are grateful for anything you are able to pay, but the most important part is having you in the room.
